In winter Winterberg is famous for the short weekend breaks to catch some snow. In summertime the area is working hard to make it a nice stay for bikers. Between the hundreds of kilometers x-country trails the bikepark seems to be a more and more populair spot each year.
All trails can be found on the Kappeberg, where the chairlift brings bikers and their material up. At the entrance of the parc you’ll find a shelter where you can buy liftpasses, some gear and hire bikes and protection.

To warm up just stay to the beginners course right in front of the shelter. Here you can bring your drops, jumps and tables to higher level. The trails in the parc vary from downhill to nortshore and from slopestyle to freecross.
The routes are accesible for everyone. You can find ‘chicken-exits’on the hardest parts of the trails. The bikepark also offers courses for all levels of riding.
What’s good about the bikepark is the fact that it’s improving every year with new trails or upgrades in the existing trails. That’s why it becomes a more populair spot every year. In the weekend you’ll find a large queue in front of the chairlift.
Bikepark Winterberg is worth visiting, just try to stay away from the busy weekends. If possible, stay a few days. The yearly event Dirtmasters is well worth visiting!

This is what we like:
- the Freecross lets you practice your speedskills in a fun way. Lots of corners and some jumps
- it’s possible to combine the trails during the descends. Create your perfect flow!
- Stylefish shop in the main street. Lots of cool clothes
- eat a beef at Täglich
- if you want to go out: try Raidon. But we warn you!
