Maloja Store Munich

With our ’86 camper we’re not in our favorite European bike destinations as fast as we used to be. To take a nice break from the long hours of driving we stop over a little more often. The big advantage: you see places you normally wouldn’t! Maloja Store Munchen This year, we decided to visit Munich on our way to the bike festival in Riva del Garda. On Maloja’s website we had already read this is where the Maloja flagstone can be found! Since we’re not unfamiliar with the brand and it’s fresh designs, our choice was easily made. Navigate directly towards...

Bikepark Winterberg

In winter Winterberg is famous for the short weekend breaks to catch some snow. In summertime the area is working hard to make it a nice stay for bikers. Between the hundreds of kilometers x-country trails the bikepark seems to be a more and more populair spot each year. All trails can be found on the Kappeberg, where the chairlift brings bikers and their material up. At the entrance of the parc you’ll find a shelter where you can buy liftpasses, some gear and hire bikes and protection. To warm up just stay to the beginners course right in front of the shelter. Here you can bring your...

Etnies Store Amsterdam

Well, what are you going to do when you’re invited by Red Bull to see The Art of Flight in Amsterdam? Exactly: you go!! And off course you’ll pay a visit to Amsterdam. While walking on the Damrak our eye felt on a Etnies Store. Well, we like funsport and it’s lifestyle so we decided to take a look inside. Soon we would be talking to the store manager Maarten. Maarten was a Store Manager in Zeeland for 5,5 years before moving to Amsterdam. In that shop he worked with Sole Technology, the company behind Etnies. A year after moving to Amsterdam with his wife he got the opportunity to start...

Cassis Bike Trails

During one of our European roadtrips we’ve planned a visit to Marseille. I was there once a few years ago and wanted to visit the town again. When we arrived we decided to leave inmedialetly. It was smelly, overcrowded, strange types and lots of cargasses. Not what we like, so we moved on to Cassis, a small town nearby Marseille. Cassis is a little touristic village with a great oceanview. After we’ve parked our campervan the search for the trails begun. People told us that it was forbidden to leave the marked footpaths. And it was not allowed to take your bike on the footpaths as well....

Les Sybelles

Well, we’re not very good at snowboarding so we’ve searched a place that got easy slopes so we could upgrade our snowboard skills. Les Sybelles is a place that’s good for beginners. We arrived just after the start of the new winterseason and it wasn’t too crowded. Our homebase was Le Corbier (1550m), a town with more slopes and shops than other nearby places. A free shuttlebus connects the various towns with eachother. La Toussuire is a little more quiet and got better slopes for beginners like us. Le Corbier offers about 25 skilifts and La Toussuire about 22....

Finale Ligure

Biking on beautiful trails with a good climate, good food and beautiful ocean views. All ingredients are found in Finale Ligure. Route designations are not known, the book “Biking Finale Ligure (ISBN 978-3-7688-5300-2)” and a local hikingmap help you on track. The book gives an excellent overview of the routes, complete with an explanation of what to expect during the trip. You can download the GPS tracks to your GPS at home. We’d recommend using your GPS so you don’t have to stop too often during riding. You can find plenty of X-country, enduro and downhill in Finale...
