During our roadtrip through Australia I found this book. While we had enough lugage to take home this book wouldn’t make the difference in weight. And I got something nice to read in our campervan.
We’ve visited a lot of bike area’s throughout Europe, and ti’s always safe to visit the same spot over and over again, so we decided to test this book on our European roadtrip in 2010 and hoped we found some new unknown trails.
The book gives a great overview about the mountain bike destinations in Europe. Each country represend severall (most populair) bikespots. Each area provides information about the types of trails available: cross country, downhill and freeride. There’s also touristic information en tips from the locals. You’ll be prepared of what to expect when you read the book at home or on the road.
The book is a really great reference for every biker searching for a new area to discover. Don’t expect trailmaps, but that’s not what this book is about. We found some really cool trails, thanks to the writers of this book. It’s worth buying!
